How do I book a tour?

You can book directly through our website using our online booking system. Simply choose your tour, select your date, and follow the prompts to secure your spot. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the tour will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 days and 72 hours prior to the tour are eligible for 50% refund of the full ticket price. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the tour are 100% non-refundable.

This policy allows us a fair opportunity to rebook cancelled spaces. All cancellation requests must be made by contacting Connected Coast Adventures in writing via email. While we endeavor to respond as promptly as possible, please allow for some delay in our reply; as long as your email is received within the applicable cancellation window, your eligibility for a refund will be honoured.

What happens if the tour is cancelled due to weather?

Tours may be cancelled due to unsafe weather or ocean conditions, at the sole discretion of the skipper. Rain alone does not constitute a cancellation; however, conditions that raise safety concerns may result in a tour being cancelled on the day of departure. In the event that Connected Coast Adventures cancels a tour, guests will be offered the option to reschedule to another available time or receive a full refund. We aim to provide as much notice as possible.

What happens if I am late or miss my tour?

Tours depart on time and cannot be delayed. If you arrive late or miss your departure, the booking is considered a no-show and is non-refundable. We recommend arriving early to ensure a smooth start to your experience.

What will we see on the tour?

Each tour is a unique experience through the beautiful Discovery Islands. While wildlife sightings vary, guests often encounter whales, sea lions, seals, eagles, and other coastal wildlife along the way.

Are whale sightings guaranteed?

Wildlife is never guaranteed, as we are visiting animals in their natural habitat. That said, our tours take place in nutrient-rich waters with a high likelihood of sightings, and every trip is guided by experience and local knowledge.

How long is the tour and how many guests are onboard?

Tour length and group size vary depending on the experience you choose. We keep our groups small to ensure a more personal, comfortable, and immersive time on the water.

What should I wear and bring?

We recommend dressing in layers and wearing warm, weather-appropriate clothing, even on sunny days. Bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, water bottle and a camera is always a good idea. Conditions can change on the water, so it’s best to come prepared.

Where do we meet and when should I arrive?

Your meeting location and departure details will be provided in your booking confirmation. We recommend arriving at least 15–20 minutes early to allow time for check-in and a relaxed departure.

Is the tour safe and are life jackets provided?

Yes. Safety is a top priority on every tour. The vessel is fully equipped with all required safety gear, including life jackets for all guests, and your guide is trained and experienced in operating on the water.

What if I get seasick?

If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking preventative measures before your tour. Conditions are often calm, but can vary depending on the day.

Is there a bathroom on board?

There is no bathroom on board. We recommend using restroom facilities prior to departure to ensure your comfort throughout the experience.

Do we tip the tour guide?

Gratuities are not required, though it is customary to tip your skipper if you enjoyed your experience – and greatly appreciated!
